This month's Majesticare Grant is awarded to...
Ellie Lucas from Cavendish Park will be receiving Majesticare Funds for her 26 mile walk with her sister for Alzheimer’s Society! This is an amazing cause and we are super proud of Ellie for putting on those walking boots to spread strength and inspiration in memory of her Grandad 🧡
“In July I am going to be taking part in Trek 26, walking 26miles to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. A cause very close to my heart since before I worked at Cavendish Park due to my grandad who had Alzheimer’s. Since my grandad passed away I have always wanted to do what I can for the Alzheimer’s Society, doing walks and donating monthly but this will be the biggest challenge I will have taken on by far to raise as much money as possible for a cause that has continues to get closer and closer to my heart since working at Cavendish Park.”
What does this mean to you Ellie?
“This is a cause that is very close to many peoples hearts with almost everyone either being affected by dementia themselves or knowing someone who is, particularly in the social care sector. I am eager to do as much as I can and would truly appreciate any support I am able to receive on top of the moral support I have already received from the brilliant people I work with!”
