Introducing our very first Majesticare Grant! 🧡

Majesticare are very excited to announce that the first Majesticare Grant has been awarded to a very deserving cause 🧡 

Vicky, Deputy Manager at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home applied for Majesticare Funds in aid of her Walk and Talk fundraiser, this was initiated to raise awareness of Mental Health and keep the conversation going after a devastating experience involving a close friend🤝

Our very first independent judge Christoph Marr, Managing Director at Marr Procurement made the rather tricky decision in awarding our first Majesticare Grant. Christoph was looking for an application that really resonated with him, of which Vicky’s application did…

Vicky was over the moon when she found out that she had received a grant for the cause very close to her heart! 🧡

Mental Health is still a taboo subject with 1 in 4 people now experiencing poor mental health and only half of those individuals have received treatment or support, by supporting causes such as Vicky’s it allows the conversation to continue and stigmas to be broken down so more people can access support. Know you are not alone, reach out, there is a community of people waiting for you.

What do you need to know about Walk and Talk?

The walks are approx. 5k. You don’t need to be an athlete. Dogs are welcome but it is preferred that no children attend due to things that maybe spoken about at the event.

The aim is to raise as much money as possible to register as a charity! This way there can be reps all over the country! We all do walks on the same time on the same day each month, and as this expands we hope to make the walks more regular.

Want to get involved in Walk and Talks?

The next walk is on Sunday 7th May and the details of the meeting point is posted on the Facebook pages a week prior to the event. The walks are currently taking place once a month in a few different areas in the country. The closest ones to Vicky and Milton Ernest Hall are in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. There is also reps doing walks in Devon, Cambridge and a couple of other local areas.
