Julia, Home Manager
Joining our team in May ’23, Home Manager Julia began her career in Nursing when she was just 18 years old! Completing her Nurse training in Bristol and following a year backpacking around the world, she then began working in general and cardiac intensive care wards.
From here Julia went on to hone her management skills by working on a variety of projects for NHS England, Somerset Care, and the CCG before realising whilst sitting on a train surrounded by spreadsheets, how much she missed working in care homes. The people, her teams, residents, and their families 🧡
My passion for care
Leading her back to her true passion for working in older people care homes, we asked Julia what is it she loves about her work “It’s the depth in every day, I can be writing a report one moment and then enjoying a walk with a resident”
“To me, nothing is more important than seeing our residents healthy and happy, and I’m in an enviable position where I get to work with some incredible people to make this happen every single day”
Away from work, Julia has 2 grown up daughters and spends her free time jet-setting to far off places and taking her gorgeous little campervan down to Cornwall! Having recently returned from Sri Lanka, Julia’s favourite place to be is within the beautiful country of Africa.
