Resident Mr. Michael Cotterill and his wife, were neighbours of Michelle and her family and since Michael became a resident at Lawton Rise they have remained good friends, visiting Michael as often as they can. Michelle said “I wanted to give something back to the home as they have been so amazing in caring for Michael.” She went on to say that she decided that running a marathon in Loch Ness would be a perfect way to raise money as Michael used to be a runner before he became ill.

Sally Latham, Home Manager at Lawton Rise said “this is a remarkable achievement and I am delighted to receive the cheque on behalf of the residents”. The home hosted a BBQ to say thank you to Michelle and Michael’s wife and presented Michelle with a bouquet of flowers.
