Majesticare Present Award To Welland Junior Football Club’s Referee

The home sponsor both the football kit and also the Referee of the Year trophy. Both the Social Care Manager and Activity Co-Ordinator from Tewkesbury Care Home were invited to present the award for “Referee of the Year” to the winner Mr Gordon Bennett. Welland Junior Football Team visit Tewkesbury Care Home on regular occasions and the residents of Tewkesbury often enjoy a day out to watch the local team play and to give them their support. Charity Fashion Show, Supported By Majesticare, Helps Raise £16,000 for Leukaemia Research

Following the loss of a close friend, Angela Boxall Compliance Manager for Majesticare and her school friends continued their work to raise funds for Leukemia Research.

Fashion Show.jpgFriends took to the catwalk at Morley Hayes Golf Club to continue their fundraising, which so far amounts to over £16,000. The school friends all from Heanor put on a charity fashion show in front of nearly 100 friends, family and local businesses to help the charity. Majesticare kindly gave back by sponsoring and also donating a significant amount to boost funds. “Angela Boxall said she couldn’t thank Majesticare enough for all their support and was delighted that the fashion show was such a success.

Roger Pratap, Majesticare Chairman, Presents Award At Great British Care Awards

Great British Care Awards 1.jpgOn Saturday 12th May at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London provided a spectacular backdrop for the national finals of the Great British Care Home Awards where the fifteen category winners were announced. Majesticare were one of the main sponsors for the awards and Roger was invited to present an award to Ancillary worker of the year.

The Great British Care Home Awards, are the national finals from the series of nine regional Great British Care Awards in Autumn 2011. Winners from each region were invited to compete once again to become the national champions.

There were a total of fifteen award categories available for nomination, which represent all areas of the care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services and from frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impace in other ways. The awards were presented by broadcater Ben Shephard and the evening concluded with music from a live band and dancing into the night.

The awards support a chosen charity, The Care Professionals Benevolent Fund, the registered charity for the care sector that support current, former and retired care professionals by providing assistance to relieve financial hardship or sickness and also provide advice and guidance on the availabillity of state support and links with debt counsellors.
