Majesticare plans state of the art care facility

Majesticare, the luxury care home group, has submitted plans to Wiltshire County Council for the construction of a new 58 bed purpose built care home adjacent to its existing Sampford home.

The proposal is for the redevelopment of its long established existing 70 bed facility and is planned to be undertaken in two phases. Once the new home is operational, Majesticare plans to demolish its existing home and construct 15 close care suites in its place.

Majesticare’s continued growth through acquisition and development underpins the continued drive towards excellence in person centred care.  The team has already achieved success with all of Majesticare’s  17 homes achieving 2 or 3 stars with 65% attaining 3 Star (Excellent) status with the Care Quality Commission.

Roger Pratap, Chairman of Majesticare, said of the development: “We are delighted to announce plans for a replacement care home which will ensure the greatest possible levels of comfort and care for our residents.  We have always invested heavily in the future of our homes and embraced new ideas and facilities. The investment at Sampford Care Home will be around £6m and we expect to create 30 new full time equivalent jobs at the care home alone.”
