Taunton Cathedral

Wellington (0.5 miles)
A small town set in a wide valley between the beautiful Blackdown Hills
and the River Tone, it has a large number of speciality shops from which
you can buy everything imaginable. There’s a farmers market every first
and third Saturday of the month and Wellington has an excellent sports
centre with a pool and activities. Or take a gentle walk up to
Wellington Monument – a 175 foot column in memory of Wellington’s
victory with sweeping views of the Blackdown Hills.
Taunton (7 miles)
The beautiful town of Taunton has much to offer with a thriving cultural
centre; an intriguing selection of specialist stores and the best in
high street names, wide pavements and easy parking; an array of bars and
eateries, first class leisure facilities and an antique market with
over 130 dealers.
Lyme Regis (30 miles)
About an hour’s drive away is beautiful Lyme Regis, an historic
unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb
harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside, the area
has now been awarded World Heritage Site Status; famous for its geology
and fossil finds.
