My name is Yolanda Wasylko, I am the Home Manager for Ashfields
Care Home, Heanor, Derbyshire. In 1977, I trained
as a Registered General Nurse in Sheffield. I worked for 2 years on orthopaedic and trauma units (day & night duty) before returning to Nottingham in 1982.
After further training to become a Registered Mental Nurse, I specialised in the rehabilitation of people with enduring mental illness. In 1989, I commenced work as a nurse teacher, teaching and lecturing in mental health nursing, particularly communication and counselling skills.
I joined the private sector in 2001 and have worked in Care Home Manager, Operational Support Manager and Clinical Development Manager roles.
I joined Majesticare in October 2010 and its my best career move for years. The company care, they support, and they believe in quality provision of service.
