The Care Co-ordinator has a crucial role to play in helping to keep and raise the standards of care and quality of life of our residents. We are looking for someone who can work closely with the registered nursing staff and provide good line management and leadership to a team of carers.

If you have/are…

Essential:

  • Ability to create recipes that respond to our clientele’s preferences to a very high standard
  • Experience of auditing catering services
  • Food handling course qualification
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the business needs
  • Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team Player
  • Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
  • Satisfactory DBS result and good references
  • Experience of the provision of catering services, food preparation and presentation
  • Understanding of food hygiene regulation
  • Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with nutritional information
  • Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards)
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets

  • Is able to plan, implement and supervise nursing care in your designated area of responsibility
  • Is looking to be physically involved in the nursing care of the residents and to meet all new residents’ individual needs, either personally or through delegation.
  • Can take responsibility for, and effectively supervise the day to day running of the home, in the absence of the Home Manager and Deputy Manager and ensure that the care is of the highest standard at all times.
  • Is a great communicator and team player

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required: Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse. A genuine interest in working within a caring environment. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels. A team player. A willingness to participate in vocational training programs. Satisfactory police check and check against the DBS Adult first list (where applicable). A basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
