Church Lawton Barrows (0.25miles)

This is one of the most important Bronze Age sites in this area of England. The Barrows are probably the most significant visitor feature in and around Church Lawton. Two out of three of the barrows built on this site remain today. The site here is particularly notable for its stone circle and it makes for a pleasant walk.

The Potteries Museum (8 miles) Stoke-on-Trent

Travel back in time and discover the history of the Potteries, including the world's greatest collection of Staffordshire ceramics. See Reginald Mitchell's World War 2 Spitfire and all sorts of art and craft. Enjoy a light lunch or afternoon snack in the relaxing Café Museum and browse in The Foyer Shop for unique quality cards, gifts, books and souvenirs of the Potteries.

Chester (45 miles)

The beautiful walled medieval town of Chester is an hour’s drive away. Its shopping centre can be traced back to the shops known as ‘rows’ of medieval times. There’s some truly stunning architecture, excellent shops and restaurants to enjoy and you can visit the Dewa Roman Experience, where roman times are brought to life, and Chester Zoo, the second biggest in the country.
