I trained as a Registered General Nurse in 1966 in London and then qualified as a Midwife before returning to Kenya to work in a Maternity Unit. I returned to the UK, got married and started to work in the care sector for the elderly.
This became my passion and I worked for 28 years in a nursing home for 33 residents, before moving to Majesticare in October 2000. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge while working for Majesticare, particularly in Management strategies and coping with difficult situations.
Working with Majesticare has enhanced my confidence as a manager. I’ve developed my management skills and created a strong bond with my staff, which in turn makes for a good team providing a high standard of care. I’ve developed a very good relationship with all multi-professional agencies and I’m always here if residents and their relatives need my attention.
