Lashbrook Care Home turned Italian for National Care Day!

Lashbrook Care Home, turned the National Care Day into an Italian day. After transforming the dining room to an Italian Restaurant. Assisted by Lashbrook residents. We then said grace in Italian by Margaret Fitch’s son-in-law. Our Chef of the day produced delicious Lasagne, salad and Tiramisu. Luca our head nurse at Lashbrook read a poem in Italian about Rome. Antipasta  snacks were brought out, including Italian breads, olives, pizza, Italian bread sticks. Polished off with some Italian red wine. Homemade cakes made by our Italian Staff, Luca and Michella. Luca and Michella showed their dedication to the residents, by coming in on their day off.

Golden Toes then performed some Italian songs and tap dancing. They encouraged all the residents to participate and dance. Colin Outen’s family said it was a wonderful afternoon. The atmosphere was joyous. Spontaneous interaction of the residents is such an important part of their life enrichment.
