The Icing on the Cake of National Care Home Week

Wargrave:  A cupcake day at The Mount  Care Home helped raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.  

Families of relatives at the Mount Care Home in School Hill were invited along to enjoy the day by buying and eating cupcakes, including some baked by a nurse at the home, to raise money for the Alzheimers Society as part of National Care Home week.

The Mayor of Wokingham, Bob Pitts who is also councillor for Ruscome, Remenham and Wargrave joined the celebration which is part of a national scheme, Cupcake day.  

Alison Spary – Hawthorn Activity Co Ordinator helped arrange the day said it was a really lovely afternoon.  We had lots of lovely cupcakes.  She also thanked the families of the relatives for turning and donating on the day.
