Lawton Rise ~ "Nursing home’s care top class"

We where very proud to see this quote form Mavis Taft from Porthill refecting how well Lawton Ruse Specialist Care Home in Goldenhill perform.

“WE REGULARLY see in the press and TV about poor care homes, but my family and i have nothing but praise for one home.  The kitchen staff for the excellent food they serve up as the laundry and domestic staff, the handyman and the ladies who provide entertainment and stimulation for the residents.  The care they give the residents and their families is 110 per cent.
The name of this home is Lawton Rise Specialist Care in Goldenhill.  My husband was in Lawton Rise for seven weeks before we lost him.  I shall never be ale to thank them enough”.

Recently
several residents had a pleasant afternoon visiting the Riding for the Disabled

the   “Archie Project”

A coffee morning was held an Oak Lodge for the Archie
Project, which aims to make the town more dementia friendly.   Archie’s
story is an inspiring tale of how to avoid someone with dementia becoming
invisible.  It is an intergenerational project linking schools, care
homes and businesses.  The event was help visitors learn how to
become more involved in the community project and to gain a better
understanding of dementia.
