The King drops in at care home

THE King made a return for the residents of The Mount Care Home in Wargrave.

Ben
Portsmouth, 31, performed his award-winning tribute to Elvis Presley at
The Mount care home in School Hill to great applause.
He said “it was a different afternoon for them – and me.”

Mr Portsmouth,
from Waltham St Lawrence, was invited to entertain the 37 residents by
the home’s activities coordinator Sharon Darvell.
She said: “We are
so lucky to have Ben here and the residents came alive with music. It
was wonderful to see how they connected with him. It was a tremendous
show.”

Mr Portsmouth won
the UK Images Of The King competition earlier this year and will be
going to Presley’s home town of Memphis to compete against other
impersonators from around the world.
